Quotient Sciences We Need You was the obvious choice.

I’d never considered participating in a clinical trial until I was catching up with a good friend of mine. He told me that he’d spent an enjoyable week at Quotient Sciences’ clinic and received payment for his time – what could the catch have been? It turns out there was no catch – he’d just done a paid clinical trial! From that moment on I was determined to try it for myself.
Quotient Sciences We Need You was the obvious choice. After my screening, (which was both relaxed and informative), I turned up at my allotted time with mild feelings of nervousness and trepidation.

I had to ask myself - had I bitten off more than I could chew signing up for a 3-week trial? What if I get bored? What if I don’t get on with my fellow volunteers? What if the food is rubbish? Questions, questions, questions! I needn’t have worried though – it didn’t take long for my anxieties to be eased.
Dosing was already well explained to me and went as planned; all the staff were very friendly and reassuring. The facilities were clean and modern, the living room cosy and comfortable and there was no shortage of activities to keep me occupied. I had no problem keeping up with work on the excellent Wi-Fi and found it easy to relax in the evenings with my new friends. We spent most of the evenings watching boxsets and films on the Sky box or using the streaming services on the Xbox which was supplied. If you’re looking to catch up on that seemingly endless list of programs that you need to watch, I couldn’t recommend a better place!

The food really exceeded my expectations, and by the end of the trial, we had all really come to look forward to mealtimes together. We even got roast dinners on Sunday! You can’t argue with that and if you get the chance, I would highly recommend you take the flapjack, sweet potato soup, and lamb stew whenever it’s on offer!

The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, and I was a little sad to leave and say goodbye! The Volunteer Liaison Officer brightened our days with quizzes, bingo, and various other activities where we played for worthwhile prizes, which was a real bonus.
We were also supplied with jigsaw puzzles, board games, and craft activities which really helped to make the time fly. The clinic staff also made sure to take us out for walks whenever possible which really helped us stop pining for the outdoors.

The benefits of doing a trial at Quotient really cannot be exaggerated. Not only did I have a fantastic time, but I also felt great for doing my bit to help medical science and of course was paid for my time whilst taking part. Considering how much fun I had, the delicious food I got to eat, and the fantastic friends I made, sometimes I felt that I really should have been paying Quotient to stay there!
