Hi, my name is Mark, and I am a bit of a veteran when it comes to clinical trials and the benefits it gives to medical science as well as myself.

Having been on many ‘We Need You’ trials and met numerous people from all walks of life and backgrounds, it's nice to meet people who are like-minded. I love to hear how the volunteers are going to spend their inconvenience allowances and most are planning their big trips abroad, be it walking, sightseeing or touring foreign countries. I personally use mine for special treats and the finer things in life.

Everyone always asks what's it like!

So, If you don't like needles, being woken up at any time of the day, or potentially listening to somebody snoring - it might not be for you. On the other hand, not every day in clinic is like this and if you can see past that, you will meet some amazing people with amazing stories and a different outlook on life.

Some of my fellow volunteers are retired, some are students, young and old but we all have one thing in common - We want to better humanity by helping develop new cutting-edge medicines and treatments
